TIPS FOR FIRST TIME VISITORS
For first-timers, it can be a bit tedious to go through all these renovation steps. To guide you through the entire process, it is important that you take note of the following reminders:
You do not need to return to the Philippines to renew your Philippine passport. You may renew your passport at the Philippine Embassy or Consulate General of the country you are currently in.
Walk-in passport applications are not allowed starting March 2021 due to security precautions being taken with the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Be sure to bring the necessary requirements to renew or reclaim your passport.
The embassy advises the public to renew their Philippine passport 7 months to 1 year before the expiration date listed on the passport data page.
Be sure to use a valid and active Yahoo or Gmail email address when booking a passport appointment.
Use BLACK INK only when filling out application forms.
The passport application forms are downloadable and free of charge.
Appointments for renewal are FREE; beware of handlers and scammers. Do not transact with fixers and scammers: report and file a formal complaint for investigation by the Embassy.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Embassy is extending the validity of old passports for those renewing residence visas or iqama in Kuwait. Persons requesting the extension to travel abroad, except to the Philippines, may be barred from entering their destination. Not all countries recognize extended passports.
Please note the following processing time for passport renewal:
Processing/interview: 7 AM to 1 PM
Release: 7 AM to 1 PM
Waiting period is 30-45 days
Be sure to check the website and official Facebook page for scheduled holidays, as offices may be closed. Read the public notices posted on their website, translated in both English and Filipino for your convenience.
Philippine passport renewal requirements in Kuwait.
As of April 2021, the passport renewal fee in Kuwait is KD19.50*. Make sure you meet the following requirements to proceed with passport renewal. Having incomplete requirements in the renewal schedule will hinder your passport renewal process. These are the requirements as of April 2021:
Confirmed passport appointment. To book an appointment, go to this link: https://www.passport.gov.ph
Personal appearance on the date and time of the passport renewal appointment.

A photocopy of the data page of the Philippine passport and the last page.
A photocopy of your Kuwait residence visa (if available).
Steps to renew your passport in Kuwait.
After you have prepared all the necessary passport renewal requirements, you are now ready to work on your passport renewal. Follow this step by step guide before, during and after you renew your passport in Kuwait:
BEFORE PASSPORT RENEWAL.
Book a passport appointment through. The FDFA’s Global Online Appointment System (GOAS). You can schedule an appointment through this link.
Check your email. After booking an appointment online, you will receive two emails containing (1) a confirmation link for your passport appointment and (2) the appointment code and completed application form.
Print your completed passport application form.
Prepare the exact amount of the passport renewal fee (19.50 KD).
How to use the FDFA’s Global Online Appointment System (GOAS):
For first-time GOAS users, follow this guide to navigate the site with ease.
Log in to GOASand then click Schedule Appointment.
After carefully reading the instructions and Terms and Conditions, check the checkbox and click the START INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENT (for solo renewals) and GROUP APPOINTMENT (for two or more renewals) button.
At the individual appointment location, choose. MIDDLE EAST as the region, KUWAIT as your country, and choose your preferred site.
In the individual date and time appointment, choose your preferred time slot for passport renewal. Please note that your chosen time slot is only reserved for 20 minutes. Dates in red are fully booked and not available. New time slots are created periodically, so be sure to check the site regularly.
Once you have chosen your desired time slot, please provide your accurate personal, family and contact information.
Be sure to review all of your information to make sure it is correct.
Check your email for the provisional email, which will contain instructions to confirm your booking.
Check the confirmation email that will be sent to the email address you used to register.
Print the application packet found in your confirmation email.
Once you have confirmed your passport renewal schedule, arrive at your scheduled passport renewal date and time.
DURING PASSPORT RENEWAL
Bring the necessary requirements for passport renewal.
Arrive on time for your passport renewal appointment. Children under the age of 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
All passport services, from renewal to release, will be held at the Al-Sahel Sports Club in the Abu Halifa area. There will be no renewal or release of passports at their temporary office in Sabah Al-Salem.
AFTER PASSPORT RENEWAL.
Claim your new passport at the embassy within 6 months of issue.
Walk-ins only accepted for passport release.
Be sure to check the official Facebook page of the Philippine Embassy in Kuwait for their regular passport release announcements. If your name is on the list, go to. Al-Sahel Sports Club sa Abu Halifa Area from Sunday to Thursday, 7 AM to 1 PM only.
No online appointment is required to claim the passport.
For those whose names are not on the list posted on the Facebook page, they are not allowed to go to the Al-Sahel Sports Club yet. Those who are feeling sick or have fever are discouraged from entering the venue as a safety precaution due to the coronavirus.

Additional notes on passport renewal in Kuwait:
Passport holders whose passports are due to expire in the next six months.must apply to renew passports to avoid expiry or immigration sanction.
Passports that have already expired more than one year ago. can no longer be extended.
The validity of the passport can only be extended once.
The Kuwait residence visa must be transferred immediately to the new passport to avoid immigration penalties.
For a visa that expires before the passport, apply for passport renewal three months before the visa expiration date.
For non-passport related issues in Kuwait.
For those who have concerns about notarial, birth or marriage reports, or assistance will be offered at the temporary office in Sabah Al-Salem. For Assistance to National Concerns (ATN), you may contact the PH Embassy in Kuwait at +965 6500 2612. Please note that this temporary office will not release passports as it will only deal with non-passport related matters.
