How to pay your monthly SSS contributions online

One of the most tedious tasks is paying bills. Earlier, we all had to physically go to banks or bayad centers to pay utility bills every month, which can be exhausting at times, having to brave heavy traffic and long queues. The good thing is, in the era of digital payment channels, gone are the days when we had to go to banks. Instead, with a few clicks, we can pay all our bills without having to go out, which is safer, more convenient and just as reliable as going to the SSS offices.

Easy ways to pay SSS contributions online.

For employers, Filipino workers or self-employed, there are now more ways to pay monthly SSS contributions online. We have created a guide for you on how to pay your SSS contributions through different online payment channels. Let’s get started!

Before you continue, make sure you do the basics:

Q: What are the requirements for paying SSS contributions?

Ans: You only need three things: your payment reference number (PRN), your chosen application to pay and the payment.

Q: What is a payment reference number (PRN)?

Ans: The PRN is basically the personal number you have to use to remit your payments online. Without it, you cannot proceed with your payment. This PRN expires each time it expires, so you should carefully check your PRN for each contribution before proceeding to payment.

Q: Where can I get my PRN?

Ans: There are many ways to get your PRN, other than going to the nearest SSS branch. Here are some of them:

Download the SSS Mobile app and create your own My.SSS account. Once registered, you can generate your PRN by tapping the “Generate PRN/SOA” icon in the app.

Call the SSS PRN helpline at 920-6446 to 55 or toll-free 1-800-10-2255-777 Monday through Friday.

Email a request to. PRNHelpline@sss.gov.ph to know your PRN.

Once you’ve got your PRN, make sure you save it, as you’ll need it to pay your contributions online. There are many ways to pay your contributions, and here are some of them. Feel free to choose the payment method that suits you best.

Different ways to pay SSS contributions:

Online banking

Through the BPI application

Download the BPI app and then log in.
Select Pay eGov, then click OK to open a mobile browser.
Choose SSS as your agency to pay.
Enter your billing information.
Click on Validate transaction.
Once validated, click on Pay transaction.
Click on Log in, then enter your BPI login details. Click OK.
Select your BPI account.
Click Pay.
Once payment is processed, enter the 6-digit passcode sent to your mobile number by text message.
The payment has been successfully completed.

Via Security Bank Online

Log in to Online security bank.
Choose Payment & Transfers, and then select Pay Bills.
Select SSS Contributions.
Enter your PRN as the subscriber number.
Click on confirm.

Through the UnionBank website

Log in to The UnionBank website. (Note: you must first be a UnionBank account holder to proceed. Register to use your account online).
Click on “Invoices” and select SSS.
Fill in the details and the amount you need to pay.
Click on Pay.
Re-enter your login details and save the e-receipt.

Via the UnionBank app

Download the UnionBank app. (Note: you must first be a UnionBank account holder to proceed. Register to use the app).
Click on the Pay Bills icon.
Select Biller and then select Social Security System (SSS).
Enter your PRN.
Verify the details and click Pay.

e-Wallet Applications

Through the GCash application

Download the GCash app and then log in.
Select Pay Bills, then select Government.
Select SSS-PRN from the list.
Enter your SSS credentials.
Review your details and click Confirm.

Through the PayMaya application

Download the SSS mobile app, then log in with your My.SSS account.
Tap Generate PRN.
Choose your membership type, then fill in the form with your billing information.
Verify your PRN details and click OK.
Once your PRN is generated, click Pay.
Choose Pay with PayMaya as your payment method.
Verify your payment details and click OK.
Log in with your PayMaya credentials.
Enter the OTP sent to your mobile number.
Verify the details and then confirm the payment.

Note: You can also use PayMaya when paying with your e-Wallet, debit card or credit card).

Other mobile applications

Through the Bayad Center application

Download the Bayad Center app.
Tap Pay Bills and select SSS Contribution – PRN.
Enter your PRN and other billing information, and click Next.
Verify the payment summary, and then click Continue.
Click Pay Now.

Via coins.ph

Download the coins.ph app.
On the home screen of the app, click Pay Bills.
Choose SSS Contributions as the invoice type and click Contribution.
Enter the amount
Please enter your payment details.

Through Moneygment

Download the Moneygment app and top up your wallet.
Click on “Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth, SSS” and choose SSS.
Choose Contribution as your SSS transaction.
Enter your billing information.
Choose Pay with Wallet.

Tips for paying SSS contributions online.

It can be a bit confusing, especially for first-timers who are about to make online payments of their SSS contributions. But not to worry, you’ll get the hang of it. Here are some tips to keep in mind when paying your contributions:

Download the SSS mobile app, available at the. App Store, Google Playo AppGallery.
Always update your SSS mobile app.
Generate your PRN using only the legitimate SSS channels mentioned above.
Each PRN is different for each individual and unique per billing cycle. Also, it expires a few days after the expiration date.
Check the contribution month you want to pay.
Always check your PRN in your My.SSS account.
Be sure to fund your e-wallet applications before proceeding to payment.
Several mobile apps charge convenience fees for each transaction.
Always take a screenshot of your e-receipts or transactions as proof.
Review the details of your payment before proceeding with it.
Do not use your old PRN when paying as it may result in rejected payments.
Be sure to pay your SSS contributions only at authorized SSS partners.
If you use banks as a means of payment, you must first be an account holder to use their services.
